  My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section.   My review:

     A Little Suite in Ancient Style by Irina Stepanova-Borovskaya, is a suite in five movements: Aria 1, Polonaise, Aria 2, Minuet, and Bagpipe. The first three are in the key of C minor, and the last two are in C major.
The five pieces have a similar structure, in three sections: the first (exposition) and third (reexposition) are in the main keys, while the second is in a neighboring key (sometimes the relative or corresponding to the dominant).
The different movements are organized according to a traditional suite, alternating between slower and livelier movements, ending with the liveliest (in this case, the bagpipe).
The change in key and style in the last two movements is particularly striking, as is the correlation between the second section of the minuet and the rhythmic motif of the bagpipe's left hand, as no similar correlation is observed in the rest of the suite.
