My review:
Meetings (from the suite "Poems' Conversations of the Heart) is a waltz with a moderate movement and a nostalgic character (due to its main key, A minor), in three sections.
After a brief introduction (a deployed diminished seventh chord), the first section begins, which we could divide into two subsections: the first presents the main theme, which is repeated at a high octave, and the second a secondary theme.
This complete section ends with a succession of chords that form a cadence, which, in its first turn, returns us to the beginning of that section for a repeat, and in its second turn, connects us with the second section.
This second section feels like a development of the first, with a theme taken from the previous second subsection.
We can, however, divide this second section into three subsections: one that we could consider expositional, and the second, which contrasts in terms of melody (though not in terms of rhythmic design). The third subsection is a slight variation on the first and, with a calm ending, leads us to the third section, which is a literal restatement of the first section (without repetition), although, on this occasion, the cadence leads us to an apotheotic coda taken from the head of the main theme.
As we have hinted, there is a rhythmic motif that is present throughout almost the entire work and serves as a leitmotif that reinforces the thematic unity.
