Hudson Gimenez - Romance Nº 1

My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section. In fact, it is constructed from a harmonic progression (accompaniment) upon which small variations on the main theme melody are layered.       Gimenez's social links:           Facebook      YouTube      SoundCloud     Enjoy  "Romance Nº 1" ,  performed by Carlos Marín Trigo:

Виталий Неугасимов - Осенний вальс. Vitalij Neugasimov - Autumn Waltz

   My personal review:

Autumn Waltz is a waltz with a slow tempo and a melancholic character, in D minor and in the form of a rondo.
The waltz begins in the piano's upper mid-range, presenting the theme with an accompaniment in which the first beat is struck by the bass and the second by the chord, leaving the third beat unpercussed in the accompaniment.
The theme is then presented again, but this time the left hand strikes all three beats and is presented in the piano's lower mid-range.
The second theme is formed from a harmonic progression that begins in F major and returns to D minor to once again present the first theme.
The third theme, in D major, appears at a slightly slower tempo than the rest of the waltz and with a percussive accompaniment on the first two beats of the measure. For a moment, it seems as if we are moving away from the melancholic atmosphere of the rest of the piece and are immersed in a deep reverie that contrasts with the main mood. We return to D minor again to present the main theme for the last time. The broken double cadence preceding the final cadence is striking.
