Hudson Gimenez - Romance Nº 1

My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section. In fact, it is constructed from a harmonic progression (accompaniment) upon which small variations on the main theme melody are layered.       Gimenez's social links:           Facebook      YouTube      SoundCloud     Enjoy  "Romance Nº 1" ,  performed by Carlos Marín Trigo:

Ирина Степанова-Боровская - Irina Stepanova-Borovskaya - Осінний вальс - Autumn Waltz

   My review:

Autumn Waltz by Irina Stepanova-Borovskaya is a piece in foour sections, with a moderate tempo and a sweet, tender and passionate character..
The first section begins by presenting the main theme, which will also close the waltz in the fourth section. However, in this first section the theme is presented in a simple way, with just two ornamental trills.
The second section offers us a very calm atmosphere, with an accompaniment in the form of arpeggios. Everything is very light, weightless, and, to a certain extent, agile.
The third section contrasts with the other two; the waltz becomes pompous and passionate; in the left hand, in the accompaniment, arpeggiated chords appear in the first beat of some bars (an aesthetic resource that will appear until the end of the piece).
The fourth section begins with a recapitulation of the main theme, but with a design of octave triplets in the right hand.
The end of the waltz is grand and brilliant.
The constant use of chromaticisms throughout the entire piece is striking.
