  My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section.   My review:

     Nocturne No. 1 by Irina Stepanova-Borovskaya is a piece in three sections, with a calm tempo and an accompanied melody texture.
In the first section, in C minor, after a short four-bar introduction, the melody appears in the right hand, accompanied by arpeggios in the left hand. In the first exposition of the theme, the melody is restrained compared to the reprise, where it is adorned with flourishes in triplets.
The same left-hand arpeggio pattern serves as a link to the second section, contrasting not only in key, E flat major, but also in rhythmic design and in that the melody is introduced by the left hand and imitated by the right.
The introduction at the beginning of the work leads us to the reexposition of the first section, again in C minor, although the final cadence takes us, once again, to E flat major.
