  My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section.  My review:

    Preludio (Prelude) is the fifth of the 20 pieces that make up Carlos Ocando's Musical Notebook, which are intended for pedagogical purposes.

    In this prelude, the composer uses the same harmonic relationships as in previous miniatures, although, melodically, the chords appear deployed in a flourish that gives a certain unity to the piece, while giving it an agile and fluid rhythm that characterizes many preludes.

    Born in 1978, Carlos Alberto Ocando Martínez is a Venezuelan composer. He completed his musical studies at the José Ángel Lamas Conservatory.

    He has been awarded several times with international prizes for his compositions.
