  My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section.    My review:

    Canción (Song) is the fourth of the 20 pieces that make up Carlos Ocando's Musical Notebook, which are intended for pedagogical purposes.

    Canción is characterized by being made up of a slow, although very expressive melody, soberly accompanied, but which creates an intimate and calm atmosphere, achieved from the "mesto" (sad) character, as well as the richness of variations of dynamics and agogic that appear throughout this miniature.

    Born in 1978, Carlos Alberto Ocando Martínez is a Venezuelan composer. He completed his musical studies at the José Ángel Lamas Conservatory.

    He has been awarded several times with international prizes for his compositions.
