  My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section.   My review:

    Tocata is the third of the 20 pieces that make up Carlos Ocando's Musical Notebook, which are intended for pedagogical purposes.

    Tocata is divided into two sections:

    The first section, rhythmic,in which, the melody is made of chords struck in both hands. Constant tempo changes abound, as well as accelerandi and ritardandi.

    A second part begins slowly and accelerates until the last measure, which ends with a ritardando, characterized by being a single motif, a flourish of notes, which is repeated progressively in higher octaves.

    Born in 1978, Carlos Alberto Ocando Martínez is a Venezuelan composer. He completed his musical studies at the José Ángel Lamas Conservatory.

    He has been awarded several times with international prizes for his compositions.
