Hudson Gimenez - Romance Nº 1

My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section. In fact, it is constructed from a harmonic progression (accompaniment) upon which small variations on the main theme melody are layered.       Gimenez's social links:           Facebook      YouTube      SoundCloud     Enjoy  "Romance Nº 1" ,  performed by Carlos Marín Trigo:

Stephan Beneking - Seven Reveries for Charlotta. Number 2 in A major.

    My review:

Beneking is often inspired by classical composers (such as Beethoven, Chopin or Satie) to compose many of his works.

This second Reverie contrasts with the first both in tonality, A major, and in character, more lively and cheerful.

This second Reverie contrasts with the first both in tonality, A major, and in character, more lively and cheerful.

With an accompanied melody texture, the left hand is in charge of making an unfolded arpeggio, while the right plays the melody, as well as a pedal note that appears at various times in the piece, which could well remind us of Chopin's famous Raindrop Prelude.
