  My review:       Romance Nº 1   is a piece in three sections, with an accompanied melody texture and a tranquil tempo, creating an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The thematic unity and the constant accompaniment of arpeggios give the piece a sense of cohesion, with a second development section and a third recapitulation section. Luc Roger Martin - Caribbean Suite - A Little Reggae Music

    Originally from Eastern Ontario, Mr. Martin studied music composition at the University of Ottawa with Steven Gellman and John Armstrong. Mr. Martin graduated with a Master's degree in music composition in 2004.

    One of his best-known works for piano is the Caribbean Suite, a collection of small pieces that he composed for his piano students, with the idea of making them lose their fear of syncopated rhythms, which was inspired during a trip that the composer made to Jamaica.
